Background Information

Amy graduated in 2015 from Irene's Myomassology Institute in Therapeutic Massage. Since then, she has returned to Irenes as an elective teacher in Sound Healing where she teaches her own methods of sound healing since 2018. Amy offers Reiki and Massage at her new location in Ann Arbor. Even though Amy has been trained in a wide range of modalities she has chosen to offer Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Swedish Massage, Reiki & Tuning Forks Sessions in Ann Arbor.

Amy has a background of working in the spa environment, as well as other centers offering energy work modalities. She has hosted many Reiki Shares, Group Sound Healing Events and Energy Healing Circles. Amy has enjoyed volunteering and sharing her modalities at such places as Conscious Cafe in A2, Chair Massage at U of M golf course, to playing her crystal bowls at Spiritual Centers and for various Ann Arbor events. Amy also has coordinated with yoga teachers to host events integrating sound therapies with yoga. 

Amy is also a Graduate of WCC with an Associates in Applied Science (2007) and a National Dean's list Honor Student Twice Over. Amy has been part of the Phi Theta Kappa Society since 2004. She is also an Ordained Priest in the Order of Melchizedek since 2018, Trained in The Nine Rites of the Munay Ki (2016) and apprenticed under Bruce Fagan in passing the Rites to others, Amy's Reiki teachers include: Eve Wilson ( I, II 2014), Sue Hidalgo (IIIa 2015) & Bruce Fagan (Reiki Master Teacher 2018).

Amy brings her deep passion for helping people find their calm and targeted pain relief into her massages.

Notes on Contraindications & Recommendations

I cannot do couples massages because it’s just me or massages to 17 or under clients.

About geriatric massage. Elderly cannot have deep tissue massage due to fragile skin potentially ripping and certain fragility of body. Specially trained geriatric massage therapists and under doctors permission can massage be performed. If elderly, only very very light pressure can be applied with no stretching. Please do not sign up for a deep tissue massage because I will not be able to do that. (Age: 70-100plus)

Potential Clients with spinal issues such as Slipped disks, Herniated disks and other spine related issues would need to see a therapist that specializes in these areas along side with their doctor and chiropractor. Massage can be contraindicative to these conditions. I do not specialize in medical massage or spine related injuries. DVT, Severe Osteoporosis are contraindicative of having a massage. For clients with Varicose veins very light pressure always, as it could dislodge a blood clot that could lead to a stroke.,) Skin conditions: Open wounds, burns, rashes, severe acne, eczema, or psoriasis are areas that will be avoided, Acute injuries: Sprains, strains, or inflammation Recent major surgery: Massage may interfere with healing Etc...

A Contraindication may be a reason why I may need to cancel a massage until certain conditions have cleared or simply are not in the best interest for the client to have a massage. The sooner you fill out your intake form, the sooner I will be able to determine if massage is not recommended. The last thing I want to do is cancel on a new client, please do not take it personally, It just means I am not the right practitioner for you and not trained in the area needed to move forward with massage. All Groupons purchased for a massage by Amy Feger are accepted at this new location. One Groupon per type of service accepted. (Others can be purchased as gifts.) 

To make an appointment please include your first and last name, address, phone number and email. For legal and safety reasons this information is required. Appointments will be denied or canceled if this information is not valid. One Appointment per day per person. If you are making an appointment for someone else as well. That person would need to create their own online file and be accepted as a client before the day of service.

(Note* Please give at least a 12-hour notice if you need to cancel. You have access to your appointment online to cancel. Reminders are sent out 24hours before your appointment by email.) Any no-call/no-shows and cancellations at the time of your massages are a fee of $25 and clients won’t be able to make a new appointment until fee is covered.
